In 2008, the Town of Edgewood, New Mexico abruptly pulled its funding for the annual music festival at Wildlife West Nature Park, sparking a major controversy - and providing the impetus for the creation of a regional blog that could provide a venue for more in-depth discussion of issues specific to the Estancia Valley and the ~~East~~ West Mountains, as well as announcements and articles on issues related to Edgewood, Moriarty, Estancia, Mountainair, and the region as a whole. Today, hundreds of local residents and interested readers from as far away as Illinois and even New Jersey keep an eye on New Mexico Central. With news, commentary, reviews, announcements, and stories from the real Central Valley of New Mexico, NM-Central.com provides a place for reasoned, polite discourse - with just a dash of irreverance and the occasional muckraking. Everyone's invited, so come on in and join the fun!
